About the Author

Elizabeth MacLeod believes voting is important, so she was delighted to write this book. She hopes it will inspire readers to get involved in elections and let their voices be heard. She also loved discovering all the weird places where people have voted, researching the story of Susanna Salter and learning about the footpowder that won an election! Liz has written more than 70 biographies, picture books, cookbooks and other nonfiction books. Dinosaurs, royal murder, horses that changed history, forensic science--she's written about them all.
