About the Author

I am Cheyene Montana Lopez native of Alabama born and raised. I grew up on a small country farm of a hundred acres in Collinsville, Alabama on Lookout Mountain. I went to school came home did homework and farm chores like any other boy was supposed to do. I couldn't wait till weekends, springs and summers when I knew school was going to be out. I was one to go to church. I remember in reflections when I would go Easter Egg hunting in school on a Friday to get out of class. Or the Easter Egg hunt after church service was over with in a Sunday morning, I only found a few eggs but it still made me feel good about myself knowing I was a part of it to enjoy. Or summer evenings long and tender southern when I would take my old pen and paper and go off to the woods to sit on that old fallen rotted log where I would sit hours to draw from my mind or to write that poem of poetry of the beauty I seen the words of it so pretty what I had seen and felt. The feel of words brought of life in beauty breathless. I sure to this very day wish I was back there in that south where I could feel and write my best in no other way God gave me to write about, I now reside in Michigan where I have been the past seven years, but I see nor feel the same things here to write or be free to dream about..
