About the Author

James graduated from Rose Bruford in 1994 and has worked regularly as an actor in Theatre and TV. His career has been diverse, appearing in the original West End cast of 'The Beautiful Game', open air Shakespeare, pantomime, repertory theatre, off West End, number one tours, TV and music videos. James has also trained as a teacher for both adults and secondary school students. In 2007 he started The Dorset School of Acting with his wife Laura Roxburgh and has trained countless young people in acting and performance, developing their performance skills in acting, singing and dancing. In 2011 DSA launched a one year diploma course in Acting and Musical Theatre where James developed The Process, a fundamental element of the training at The Dorset School of Acting. This approach has proven to be extremely successful, with his students gaining places in employment, Vocational Drama Schools and also with actors' agencies. James lives by the sea in Dorset and also teaches The Process both in London and internationally.
