ABOUT SOPHIA
As a child, Sophia was a passionate reader and artist. When not reading or drawing, she could be found at the farm riding horses or out causing mischief with her brothers.
As an adult, Sophia is still an avid reader, art fanatic, and mischief-maker. When she’s not writing, you can find Sophia reading a book, making art, visiting schools or exploring the outdoors with her kids.
Sophia grew up in Florida, went to art school in California, and met her husband in Manhattan. She’s now enjoying life back in Florida with her family.
Sophia's previous books for children are The Boy Who Grew a Forest: The True Story of Jadav Payeng, Jack Horner, Dinosaur Hunter!, and This Is Your World: The Story of Bob Ross.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Pug is snug on his rug. But what happens when along comes BUG?! With a claim to the rug?! The two engage in a hysterical, rhyming battle of wits and strength until Slug asks the necessary questions and helps them find common ground. Rhyming is an important developmental reading skill. It teaches phonics (decodable text) and helps young readers infer content. This is a fun story to build those skills--and is an epic read aloud!
