Cassandra King Conroy

Copperfish Books is thrilled to present a very special event with best-selling novelist Cassandra King Conroy at Twin Isles Country Club in Punta Gorda. Our afternoon social will feature Cassandra speaking about her memoir, Tell Me a Story: My Life with Pat Conroy, in which she considers her life and the man she shared it with, paying tribute to her husband, Pat Conroy, the legendary figure of modern Southern literature.

Admission for one is $40 and admission for two is $65. Ticket price includes one hardcover copy of Tell Me a Story: My Life with Pat Conroy, appetizers, a glass of wine or iced tea per person, and of course the opportunity to meet the author. A cash bar will be available for additional beverages.

Cassandra King Conroy was leading a quiet life as a professor, divorced "Sunday wife" of a preacher, and debut novelist when she met Pat Conroy. Their union would last 18 years until his death from pancreatic cancer in 2016. She has been called the Queen of Southern storytelling, is the author of six novels, Making Waves, The Sunday Wife, The Same Sweet Girls, Queen of Broken Hearts, Moonrise, and The Same Sweet Girls' Guide to Life, as well as numerous short stories, essays and articles.
