Our Team

All of us at Copperfish Books truly care about you and your reading happiness, and we love to share books with YOU! While our reading tastes do overlap some, they are also as varied as our personalities and interests. Come learn a little about each of us and read what we think about some of our favorite books. We hope you’ll want to read some of them, too!

Ellie
Bookseller

Ellie has had her nose in a book before she could speak full sentences; therefore, she will gleefully tell anyone and everyone that becoming a bookseller is a dream come true. Ellie can often be found scaring herself in the horror section, or traveling to far off worlds via fantasy and science fiction genres. When not immersed in a book or discussing them, she enjoys spending time with her four rowdy cats, drinking experimental cocktails made by her fiance, and taking day trips to the beach with friends. See Ellie's picks >>>

Karen Solar photoKaren
Bookseller

Karen has a degree in Bio-Medical Science from Western Michigan University.  She loves to travel and has travelled extensively with her husband (and cat), both because of her husband’s job and for pleasure.  Her 15 year book sales experience includes working for Borders in both Redmond and Bellevue, Washington; Hooked on Books and, of course, Copperfish...where she says her co-workers and customers are the best!  Favorite genre: Mysteries.  Favorite cat:  Thumper (very big Maine Coon mix). See Karen's picks >>>

Liz Tietsworth photoLiz
Bookseller

Liz has a BA in Biology from New College and has enjoyed living on both coasts (of Florida). She loves to spend time exercising, cooking, eating and hanging out with her family. Liz reads books from different genres and likes to introduce people to titles outside their "comfort zone"; she loves talking to customers at Copperfish. See Liz's picks >>>

Lucy Perkins-Wagel photoLucy
Assistant Manager

Lucy is a lifetime lover of stories, and the caretaker of four rambunctious cats! She became a bookseller after seven years with the US Air Force, and has dubbed herself the Romance Bookseller due to her love of the genre; though fantasy and mystery are also near and dear to her heart. Lucy absolutely adores talking about books with anyone who will listen, and is thankful every day to be able to share stories with others for a living. Lucy currently leads our Mystery Book Club and Romance Book ClubSee Lucy's picks >>>
