Cathy’s background includes teaching high school, the US Air Force, corporate sales, and a Benedictine monastery. She grew up in Orlando, spent many years in Maryland, and a few in Costa Rica. Besides reading, she enjoys cooking, music, wine, and her cats.

Serena started her work life in book publishing, so it was no surprise that she now owns a bookstore! These days, she's often working behind the scenes on purchasing, marketing, and website management. While she usually reads fiction and historical fiction, she'll delve into a fantasy or thriller if it pulls her in.

Karen has a degree in Bio-Medical Science from Western Michigan University. Her 15 year book sales experience includes working for Borders in Washington State; Hooked on Books and, of course, Copperfish...where she says her co-workers and customers are the best! Karen loves to travel and has travelled extensively with her husband, both because of his job and for pleasure. Favorite genre: Mystery.

Liz has a BA in Biology from New College and has enjoyed living on both coasts (of Florida). She loves to spend time exercising, cooking, eating and hanging out with her family. Yani is an avid reader, social media content creator, and lover of all things artistic! When she's not immersed in literature, she enjoys journaling, sculpting, and bonding with Jalapeño, her trusty bird sidekick. While horror and fantasy are her go-to genres, Yani is a versatile reader and leader of our Romance and Thrills & Chills book clubs. She believes a diverse bookshelf is a rich one, and is eager to share her love of literature with our customers.

Kelli was born and raised in Ocala, Florida and moved to Port Charlotte in 2015. She enjoys many crafts, gardening, and of course reading! Her favorite genres are Romance, Fantasy, and psychological thrillers, but will read anything if it sounds good. Kelli loves going to Disney with her husband and daughter as well as camping and kayaking.
